Why choose our guides?
If you’ve looked at a mountain and thought, “I wonder if I can get up that way?”, then this is the book for you. We’ve researched multiple different walks to access different parts of Bidean nam Bian and picked out the lines that take you safely through the most amazing scenery. From graded footpaths to grassy slopes, walks on scree to the occasional rocky step. All of the walks are graded so you can pick one to suit you and only one involves a short climb (but it’s worth it!).
With hand drawn Illustrations we have been able to include the features you need to use to navigate and exclude distracting shadows and colours.
We also had a definite vision of how the guidebooks would look, both in its aesthetic and for the information contained within. Our first publication, Bidean nam Bian’ is situated at the birthplace of mountaineering in Scotland, Glen Coe and fitted with our old school approach seamlessly. Classic mountain heritage deserves a classic look, and that decided our design for the book throughout.
