A walking guide for the more curious.
If you’ve ever looked at a mountain and thought, “I wonder if I can get up that way?”, then these are the books for you. We’ve researched multiple walks and picked out the best lines that take you safely through the most amazing scenery in the Highlands. From well graded footpaths and grassy slopes to pathless ‘off the beaten track’ routes on steep ground, this new series has it all. The walks are all graded and star rated so you can pick one to suit your needs and only a few involve some mild scrambling (but it’s worth it!).
Our first publication, “Bidean nam Bian and the Three Sisters of Glen Coe’, is due for release in November 2022. The next will cover Buachaille Etive Mor, Beag and the Aonach Eagach. After that we will head to the Mamores for the third book, followed by Ben Nevis and the Aonachs. Check in with the blog to follow our progress as the series evolves.
With our hand drawn illustrations and maps we have been able to include all the features you need to navigate our routes and exclude distracting information like shadows and colours which can confuse rather than help. We think they are rather attractive too…
The books are written, illustrated, photographed and researched by David Unsworth
